My hope is that certain of my elderly friends that have a talent with the pen will write about one or more of the many challenges of aging: parents, afterlife, loneliness, separation from partner, letting go, staying at home, health, mobility, exercise, keeping current in the digital age, to name just a few. Their words may be paired with certain photographs, samples below, click to enlarge.

Mortality

As we grow old we begin to think of our own mortality in real terms. Doctor Killion gave me a good bill of health on Monday but she also suggested I put a copy of my Medical (Do Not Resuscitate) Directive in Coastal Medical’s file. Another reminder.
