The Keith carter effect

After a long hiatus I signed up for another photography workshop at Maine Media in Rockport.  A week up north would be both a nice change of scenery, and might move me artiistically. The workshop I choose was called "A Certain Alchemy"  with Keith Carter. It was about making good pictures, one's that matter. I suspected it would be free wheeling and not require much walking on my part as my back was killing me. I've always admired the magic and mystery in Keith's pictures.  And I seuspected, he would be a good teacher as well as an artist. Both were true. The week was an inspiration, a good swift kick in the butt. toKeith's website

The workshop served a second purpose. It kept my mind off the spinal surgery I was facing immediately after back home. Since the two events were back to back, (pun), I brought what I call the" Keith Carter Effect" right into the hospital, iPhone in hand. the pictures here are from both,  the workshop. and the following week in Rhode Island Hospital.
