Two Couples In The Garden

$250.00

I loved the symmetry of the scene when I saw these two couples wandering the long rows of pleached trees in the Garden of Versailles. Although still very formal, the gardens provide welcome relief from the opulence of the palace itself. Sometimes called "Hedges on stilts," the art of pleaching trees is commonly used to construct architectural features, provide screening and to create enclosed or shaded areas in both domestic and extravagant show gardens like this one. Print is 12" x 18" with approximately ¼" reveal for title and signature.
