“Alone” is a short video from pictures I’ve taken of solitary men, some in Providence, some elsewhere, set to music. There can be no doubt being alone strikes fear in my own heart.
Loneliness often goes hand in hand with homelessness. There are so many men and women living on the street, hungry, marginalization, out of work, and now dodging Covid that having to also deal with these challenges alone makes it all so much more difficult. Sorry, this is not a happy video but I think it captures a little of what’s going in Providence, in our country and also in my head. I’m so thankful I have Kathy, our family, a warm home, and food in the pantry. Many folks aren’t as fortunate.
